Just wanted to point out that https://git.joeyh.name/index.cgi/etckeeper.git is currently unavailable. Git source viewer is accessible, but it doesn't allow git checkouts of even downloading tarballs, so there seems to be no way to download the etckeeper tarball from an official source at the moment.
git://git.joeyh.name/etckeeper is the git repository. The fact that one cgit instance is currently down (due to the massive and continual DDOS of scrapers) does not prevent accessing the git repository.
Anyone can generate a tarball from a git repository using
git archivehttp://source.etckeeper.branchable.com/?p=source.git;a=summaryis also a (currently) working gitweb instance.
